Archived: Jake + Samantha | Hometown Wedding

I ended my 2019 wedding season with one of my high school classmates, Samantha, and her now husband – Jake. Their November wedding brought me back to my hometown in Russia, Ohio where a brisk day was warmed by sun rays and not a cloud in sight.

Samantha and Jake met while two stepping at a bar when they both happened to be in Texas. I’d say that’s fate. They did long distance ever since and now call Columbus home.

It might be a little map dot, but this wedding in the little town we grew up together in has it’s charm. The ceremony was gorgeous at St. Remy Church and we traveled to Stillwater Prairie reserve to take some just married portraits as the sun was setting.

I found myself tearing up as Samantha walked down the aisle with her dad, laughing at their cake cutting – more like a smash, and staying late to capture the blast they were having out on the dance floor. It was the perfect wedding to end 2019!
