Archived: Creative Makeup Shoot

A few months ago I did a styled bridal shoot with Meghan of Meghan Marie Studio. It was an awesome opportunity to swap roles and actually be in front of the camera. While I was getting my makeup done for the shoot, Meghan chatted with our makeup artist (Shaterra Jenkins Makeup Artistry – amazing, by the way!) about some of the halloween makeup looks she’s done. She showed us her work of art on her skull makeup, and I was blown away!

Later, during the shoot, Meghan asked me if I would be interested in photographing her and some of her makeup looks. (Turns out, it’s kind of hard to take selfies with a heavy, DSLR camera.) Of course, I said yes! I’m all about collaborating and working with other photogs. And I don’t know how she does it, but she’s amazing at “playing” with makeup. I mean, just take a scroll below.

This was just one of three looks we were deciding between – all three options were so good! We decided on this colorful combo paired with sleek hair and geometric dress to complete the look. All I have to say is Slay Girl, Slay. I’m so excited to share these!

You’ll want to scroll all the way to the end for some amazing murals we found in downtown Dayton!

Check out Meghan’s blog about this look too!
