THIS DRESS was handmade by Sheila of Delana Formals in Columbus, Ohio! I got to meet Sheila for the first time at her first ever styled shoot. Also a first for me, shooting my first rolls of film on my Nikon F5 film camera with Portra 400. Scroll towards the end of this post to see my first film scans EVER! I’m so happy with how they turned out! I hope to incorporate more film photography into my weddings next year in 2021.
Back to this dress – these light teal ruffles were magical! I was so excited to photograph this dress along with one of my favorite florists – Heather at Fezz and Hazel. Her pink and coral color combo in the bouquet and centerpieces fit so well next to Sheila’s gown.
A few of my favorite unique things from this shoot – the large knotted, pink napkins; the delicate berries placed in the centerpiece; and of course, the greenhouse venue at Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove. It’s such a dream location to photograph!
I actually started out collaborating on this shoot by creating the stationery, but once I saw the dress and the official mood board, I had to participate as a photographer!
