Wedding Editorial at Cliffside Acres | Springfield, OH

Back in the fall, I attended a styled shoot at Cliffside Acres in Springfield, Ohio that was held by Samantha of Samantha Joy Events and Katy of Roots Floral Design. I knew I HAD to be at this shoot after the my first Creation Workshop at Mojave East. I knew it would be modern, artistic, and unique. My favorite part of this shoot was photographing at this brand new venue! Not only do I love the aesthetic around this elegant white barn, but the story behind it as well. The owners of the venue are all about serving their couples and hosting one of the best days of their lives. This truly is a magical place!

As a creative, I love attending styled shoots for various reasons. These events allow amazing wedding vendors to come together and showcase their creativity. It’s a great way to connect and build relationships with other wedding industry pros. Another attraction to attending styled shoots is that they help build up my portfolio, as well as introduce me to new wedding trends.

The vendors for this shoot were a dream team and they went all out with their artistry. The floating floral installation at the ceremony set-up was awe-inspiring! From all of the gorgeous florals to the mix of unique ribbon, it added quite the colorful pop to the ceremony. The cake from Icon Cake Cincinnati was unbelievable. You might think that those are real florals on the cake, but they are actually sugar flowers, all made by hand!! Paige Makes designed a custom yellow backdrop that was used for portraits, and it was beautiful. The different colors and textures from the reception table were so fun to photograph!

The planner made this shoot colorful and exquisite and reflected every single detail you could imagine! I was thrilled to be able to photograph all of the jaw-dropping pieces of this styled shoot. To add to the experience, I brought my film camera with me and I’m elated with how those images turned out.
